History

Old Taieri Print BuildingSince the company’s inception in 1976, Taieri Print Limited has grown dramatically.

In 1983 another local printing company was acquired and for several years Taieri Print operated from two sites. By the late 80s planned expansion meant that new purpose-built premises were required. Housing the entire operation under one roof allowed us to increase our range of products and services, and offer a nationwide service. This resulted in the successful management of two large Government contracts.

We have always endeavoured to keep up to date with the latest innovations throughout the printing industry. Taieri Print was the first in the South Island to utilise data transfer for sending and receiving files nationally, and we continue to keep pace with technology in all aspects of production. We are proud to be associated with proven industry leaders such as Heidelberg™, Xerox™ and Horizon™.

By May of 2003, the company relocated to its present premises in Fairfield. The extra space facilitated the installation of new high speed two-colour and four-colour Heidelberg SM52 Speedmaster presses. Demand was such that we upgraded our four colour press to the latest Heidelberg ten-colour perfecting press allowing us to print full colour on both sides of the sheet in one pass. This significant increase in press power, coupled with upgraded Computer to Plate technology, has allowed us to offer a new level of quality and value for money.

Our outstanding service has proven so popular with clients it necessitated staff increases to cope with the growing demand for competitively priced, high quality work. With a fulltime staff of 39, Taieri Print Limited is now one of the largest printers in Dunedin. We can meet your expectations for quality printing on time – offering a great service at a competitive price!
